Dusty Attic ATC Tray

Posted on | Thursday, November 1, 2012 | No Comments

Above is my work for the Dusty Attic ATC monthly challenges.
The themes are great but I have decided to incorporate all of the months challenges into one style.  Shabby Chic...(naturally)...I just love it, my absolute fav.  I will post up the close-ups and more info on this one on another day.

Halloween Themed ATC

Posted on | Monday, October 15, 2012 | 1 Comment

It's Halloween month, and Dusty Attic has the themed ATC challenges that are on going, with this month as naturally "Halloween".  My youngest son had a "Scooby Doo, Haunted House" party for his birthday one year so I will be adding the ATC to his pages at a later date, because I'm pretty clever like that ;)

I hope you all enjoy Halloween and eat lots of Candy!!!  Does life get any better?  Have fun and if you want to check out the ATC challenges head over to the Dusty Attic from here The Dusty Attic

This extra large, close-up is especially for Naughty Natasha Narrango-Aguire, who just LOVES spiders ;)
All of the raw chipboard is available at her shop via Retail Shop

Once Upon A Sketch

Posted on | Friday, October 5, 2012 | 1 Comment

This month Once Upon A Sketch has a really great sketch and journalling that is SO positive and uplifting.  I have created a double page of the sketch for Natasha Narrango-Aguire from the Moments of Tranquility Shop.

The sketch that you will find below by clicking on the link is about Focusing on what is important and staying positive.  My Catholic views on life are to never give up trying, there is always hope and opting out of life is never for us to decide.  I hope you all can find some inspiration from this one and keep on the lookout for my version of the sketch to follow.

May God Bless

Here is another page to go with my little cowboys party book. I remember he didn't know how to blow out the candles yet (even tho we tried to teach him earlier;) He would make the letter "Ffff" instead of blowing (how cute:) - behind the main photo I have put other photos where you can see him studying the other kids faces while they helping him to blow out the candles!!!
I also made sure that the Wagon Wheels are able to still turn, as he just loves interactive pages ;)
(I have also taught him to now say that I am "the best mum in the world") I know right? Happy creating everyone!!!

Personalised Nursery Letters

Materials You Will Need:
Products I used:
  • Dusty Curls Alphabet (DA0468) from the Dusty Attic
  • Jo Sonjas White Paint
  • Peter Rabbit wrapping paper (paper of your choice)
Step 1.
I have painted the Dusty Curls Alphabet with a plain white paint firstly. (Refer to previous intricate details tutorial – this is how I almost always do the first layer).

Step 2.
Simply some basic paper toll here, or fussy cutting as I hear it being referred to of late; cut out roughly 3 of the same design from the paper, then when you have a minute to sit down (I usually do in front of the TV) cut to the edge of the picture, but leaving off legs, arms etc as you go higher. Then using whatever way you prefer to add dimention to the layers, build them up. I use helmars dimentional glue most of the time.

Step 3
Place the cut outs randomly over or under the letters.

A page of my little cowboy when he turned 2!!! I love the Dusty Curls Alphabet for his pages, they just suit perfectly! I actually had the letter "I" next to the H but it went walk about at some point? I have used pinecone ink and a rose stamp then finished off with glossy accents.
Next piece of Fabulous DA is the new release Wagon Wheels - LOVE it !!! Again using pinecone ink and a screw brad for the centre.

I have used a very old range of paper from K & Co which is just my favourite of all time (as far as boy papers go ;) Anyone who knows me, will know that I am definitely a "girl" mum!!!

Our Pretty Baby

Today's post is using some fantastic "New Release" pieces from the Dusty Attic...

The new bird cage comes in a pack of two and I have used a combination of the DA mini chain and an old necklace.
The new "Dusty in Bloom" range has some gorgeous vintage colors and I have used my fav one "Vintage Rose" DA#0803 and the "Grassy Knoll" DA#0809.  I have separated the layers and mied them with paper flowers for a co-ordinating feel.  The Dusty Attic chipboard buttons, have also been decorated in the matching papers.

And lastly here is the inside of the doors.  Our "Indoor Girl" (like me;)

About Me - Concise Biography

My photo
My work history is varied and diverse. From the high profile studios of NWS Channel 9, to the exciting aviation industry, I have a resume' with an extensive list of skills and experience. I reside in sunny Australia. The main purpose of this blog was that it was started out of necessity but has grown into something I enjoy. “To Do What You Love, and Feel That It Matters, What Could Be More Fun?”. I believe this particular industry promotes self esteem in many, whilst being part of a Design Team helps businesses and friends but most of all I love all the fantastic messages that one can give to another through this avenue. It assists me in my endeavour to leave the world a better place… (and as Barbie would say at the beauty pageant "and I wish for world peace";) Hoping that you find some inspiration from my work!
