Dusty Attic Designers

Posted on | Friday, December 30, 2011 | 3 Comments

As always with my creations, this one just grew and grew... It turned out to be a double gate fold with another double gate fold on the front!!!!  I have an album with D rings on both sides (somewhere in a safe place that I can no longer find ;) The plastic sleeves came with the album which is great as I love that it is a little different from the norm.  I just had to make a photo of the sleeves to show as Naughty and Nice Natasha and I are so often having the same ideas in mind, its a little scary - all the way from the USA I think my soul sister can read my mind.  You will find links to all of the FABULOUS, extrememly talented Designers on the side bar of my home page...

I have all the girls style descriptions in the tabs behind their pertaining photos - the delightful Mistra wrote these descriptions of everyone's style and I think she is pretty much spot on ;)

The Star of the Show is the dynamic Jennifer Hedger - who is just the best little Superstar of a boss!!!

Graduation Memories

Posted on | Thursday, November 17, 2011 | 7 Comments

My little baby girl is Graduating this year! And to keep a record of some special times and people I have created this book.  Inside it has envelope pockets, photograph sleeves and ruled writing pages.  I have asked all of her family to write some special messages for her on 6 x 4 pieces of paper to be included and a delightful friend of hers (thanks Emily ;) helped me to get some messages from her friends.

At the Graduation Ceremony in St. Patricks church, an Angel lady who was sitting next to me asked if I was Dannielle's sister to which I replied "Thank you"!  We get that a bit, but I SO never get tired of hearing it ;)

Star Wars - The Force Is Strong With This One

Posted on | Wednesday, November 9, 2011 | 2 Comments

These are some of my favourite "funny" photos of all time!!!  My son's friend is just SO adorable!  We asked him to be a fierce Jedi and he definitely "performed" well for the camera...

I have used the Dusty Attic mini Cogs set and silver paint with black embossing powder.

Happy Halloween!!!

Posted on | Monday, October 31, 2011 | 2 Comments

I wanted to post some more photos of the Happy Birthday Halloween in Wonderland projects that I Designed for the Dusty Attic.  It was my very first design so that celebrates 12 months of working for them (Yay!;).  They are a fantastic company with so much going on right now and so much, much more to follow.

Firstly on the double page below I have added a chipboard word - Happy Birthday - it is such a gorgeous font and I have simply painted it black.

And for the elaborate and personalised Chess Set...

The Chess Set has SO many different elements that I couldn't have photographed each one, therefore I have added to the close ups and posted in celebration of Old Hallows Eve ;)

I would probably have enough going on in there to do another post next Halloween!  So watch out for that next year...It is so nice also that the children actually like playing with this one too!  My son took it to school the other day (Naw, he's so adorable;)   It is difficult to see but the instructions and all the memorabilia and photos from Sophie's Halloween in Wonderland Party are stored inside the chess set...

The Dusty Attic has so much new product coming out that I will probably even add more.  The range of Halloween chipboard is to die for (sorry couldnt help that one;)...but seriously you can check out their site with lists of products and numbers here  http://thedustyat.cart.net.au/store/ plus all the fabulous inspiration in the Gallery is a must do..  I am being featured this month as the "Copy a Designer Challenge" which has been such a lot of fun especially as the Designers this year are all exceptional! http://dustyattic.ning.com/ .The paper range is from Graphic 45 and they really do have the most amazing products that you can use and play with for a very long time.  You can find them here http://g45papers.com/

Have fun today/tonight whatever you are doing - my all time weakness is lollies, so I would dress up for that? Wouldn't you?...xx Maybe don't answer that...

Tinkerbell Gift Box

Posted on | Friday, September 9, 2011 | 2 Comments

Here is a special box made for a special, fairy, friend of my youngest son.

I made the photos at the party and gave the box to her afterwards as an extra gift.  I used the paper from the invitation so it was sentimental.  I have used the new Sweet Pea Border (DA0593) from Dusty Attic, cut up a little.

Also, as I had planned on making the gift I scanned the Birthday card that he gave to her and cut and pasted it a little.  It was a pirates and pixies party, so I am referring to the cute kitty with the eyepatch...

I have explained how I finished the border in the CREATIVE TUTORIALS section on the home page, where there is also the instructions for making the box itself.

I think some girls are just born with glitter in their veins and flowers in their hair!

Brides of Christ

What can I say about this one?  I love these photos of my precious ancestors.  These women are so special and virtuous and deserve a special tribute just to them.

This page was created with papers and embellishments from a "challenge pack" at my LSS which I won first prize for!

Inside the circle is my journalling (below) and it opens up to reveal this photo also.

Scalloped Circles (13 pieces) DA0112
Ornate Frame #4 (2 pack) DA0077

And the title was a custom cut by the Dusty Attic also.

About Me - Concise Biography

My photo
My work history is varied and diverse. From the high profile studios of NWS Channel 9, to the exciting aviation industry, I have a resume' with an extensive list of skills and experience. I reside in sunny Australia. The main purpose of this blog was that it was started out of necessity but has grown into something I enjoy. “To Do What You Love, and Feel That It Matters, What Could Be More Fun?”. I believe this particular industry promotes self esteem in many, whilst being part of a Design Team helps businesses and friends but most of all I love all the fantastic messages that one can give to another through this avenue. It assists me in my endeavour to leave the world a better place… (and as Barbie would say at the beauty pageant "and I wish for world peace";) Hoping that you find some inspiration from my work!
