Comfortable In My Own Skin

I made the above layouts in celebration of turning 40!  I was in Bali and the hotel photographer was fabulous.  My husband and children didn't want to play the game with a photo session so I just went with it alone!!!  We ran out of light on the first day, so he asked me to come back at 7.00 in the morning and meet him on the beach.  That was a big ask as I love sleeping in and I wasnt going to do it, but now I am glad I made the effort as I love the photos and making the page was fun too ;)

Fairy Wings

"Once upon a time" I had to be a "Fairy Story Teller" at an event (I filled in for my teenage daughter who bailed on the deal!!!) but it turned out to be a laugh anyway. I created a "master piece" in these fairy wings (thats what I called it, mainly to ease my suffering of using up nearly all of my stash of scrapbook supplies on them). I have added some of the too pretty mini fairies DA#0562, tucked in here and there. I have painted them white and used Tim Holtz Rock Candy Crackle on them. My children (and hopefully not me ever again) still use the wings for parties etc. so they hang lovingly in my studio, waiting for another day of use. The photo is of my daughter's friend by the way because she always says to me:- "Can we play dress ups?" whenever she comes over, which of course I am delighted to indulge in."My" daughter kept pulling faces!!!
